The platform for Time Warner Cable Business Class is the Time Warner Cable television network, which
has been upgraded with fiber optics. This Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) architecture
combines the enhanced reliability and capacity of fiber optics with the
broadband coaxial network.
A Time Warner Cable Business Class server complex located in our Network Operations Center receives data from the Internet through multiple Internet high-speed connections. The server complex distributes the data first to regional hubs and then to neighborhood nodes before it comes to end-users.
Our first-of-its-kind HFC network links to the end user's computer via a cable modem utilizing TCP/IP protocols. A single modem can support multiple PC's and uses a standard 10-base-T Ethernet interface.
Time Warner Cable Business Class provides a world class hosting and network facility that includes a raised floor architecture, large-systems UPS, multi-fuel generator back-up, fire suppression, secure access, and monitoring. Return to top
